Hi Scarlett-

I just purchased a Scan Disc 8 GB memory card with adaptor + a reader/writer for my Curve 8330.

I've read differing opinions on the forums that I visit such as, you have to format the card before using it vs. don't format or it won't work. Which is the right thing to do? I don't want to mess the card up and make it useless. :)

Can you run apps on the card while using my PB or is it for storage only?

Thanks, I am confused and would appreciate a little clarity. :)

I have never formated a media card that I use in my Blackberry and they have always worked. You can not run apps from your media card that I'm aware of, however, I believe that is something that we will see in the not too distant future. I do store my pictures, music ringtones, videos and documents on my media which leaves more space on the Blackberry to be utlized for your applications.

Have fun filling up your media card. I curently have a 32gb card which I'm loving.

I have never formated a media card that I use in my Blackberry and they have always worked.
